the Old Watkins Glen Road Race Course (August 2021)
For five years, starting in 1948, Watkins Glenn hosted a road race that sped through the town, up humongous hills, circled the Glenn, and descended back into town. As we biked along this route, we could imagine the challenge these drivers must have faced as they negotiated steep descents on tight forested roads, while wheel to wheel with other racecar drivers.
